BMT-1001 caches is currently the longest geotrail in Norway. It has about 1 100 caches and is growing. The trail is located in Bogn Recreational Area. A mountain range extending from Steinkjer to Namsos, and also located in Namdalskeid and Overhalla. Most of the area is owned by Statskog, but also private actors have rights in the area. Bogn has a rich animal and bird life, and many lakes where you can catch both trout and stir.
There are several rental cabins in the area. These are rented out by Statskog. There are also some open shelters of simpler standard that can be used by everyone. There are also camp places for caravans and motor homes inside the Bogn.
Caches in BMT-1001 caches are posted by members of geocachergruppene Hyper-gang and Odin’s Ravens. Caches are very varied both in size, design and D / T-ratings. here is something for every. Most can be taken by car or bike, but there are also long walks in the mountains for those who like it.
Renting cabbins and fishing licenses can be purchased online – http://www.statskog.no
ATMOSPHERE IN THE WALLS
Our guests brag about the atmosphere at Jaegtvolden. That we obviously appreciate, but where does the atmosphere come from? Perhaps it is the location, right down the Trondheim Fjord.
In the vicinity there are many possibilities for activities ranging from outdoor adventures to fantastic dining experiences.
The undisturbed atmosphere here is easily accessible. An hour’s drive from Trondheim is highly affordable – from the railway station and the E6 at Røra it takes only ten minutes. Inderøy is full of temptations and Jægtvolden is the perfect base.
BEST WESTERN Tingvold Park Hotel is a fully facilitated central hotel of high quality, with a long tradition of providing accommodations, hosting meetings and conferences, and catering for many varied functions and celebrations.
Our hotel sits on historic ground with stone formations from the age of the Vikings on the property. The main building is of timber, built in the 19th century, and the interior and style reflect this. The buildings have been renovated and added to in recent years, and BEST WESTERN Tingvold Park is today recognized as a hotel that provides up-to-date quality and service without compromising its historic atmosphere. Enjoy your stay.
